One thing we've learned is that having the right gear can make every aspect of parenting so much easier. That's why we've continued to test the most popular products on the market to determine which ones are the best for parents and kids, whether they're newborns or tweens.

Here are our favorite parenting products, or jump to all the 2021 Best of Year awards.

Best Stroller
Baby Jogger City Mini GT2

The sturdy Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is incredibly easy to use for everyday life in the city and suburbs alike. Lifting it in and out of the car (or up and down stairs) did not leave us sweaty, cursing, and near tears. It even held up well to being hosed down after an entire ice cream cone got dropped on the seat. Plus, it can be folded in seconds with a single pull of its innovative Quick-Fold handle. Best Lightweight Stroller
Joovy Kooper

The Joovy is equal parts luxury and economical compact. Some of the extras, like the snack tray, aren’t necessary—but you will be thankful that they are included anyway. Tiny when folded, you can store this stroller just about anywhere in your home (or car) without thinking twice. It can accommodate a car seat, has added storage in the back in the form of a zippered pouch for wallets and keys, and has a reclining seat for kids in need of a nap. It checks all of the boxes, and then some, making it a great choice for almost everyone. The Kooper falls square in the middle of the compact stroller price point, making it a good investment. Best Breast Pump
Elvie

The Elvie is our top pick due to its high marks across the board: It empties breasts well, is comfortable, and is high-tech yet user-friendly, making pumping (almost) fun. Most importantly, it boasts extreme portability, with no wires or tubing required. Skip Hop Moby 3-Stage Smart Sling Tub

The Skip Hop Moby 3-Stage Smart Sling Tub was one of the most comfortable baby baths we tested, largely because of a mesh sling that can be set up to accommodate a newborn in a full-recline position as well as a just-learning-to-sit baby in a partial-recline position. You can also remove the sling entirely for a baby who can sit upright. Read the full review.

The Graco DuetSooth is our pick for Best Baby Swing.

Best Baby Swing
Graco Duetsoothe Swing + Rocker

Because every baby has a different preference when it comes to swings, the Graco Duetsoothe Swing + Rocker’s variable swing directions are key. You can spin the seat 180 degrees, meaning your baby can swing from side-to-side facing either direction, or from front-to-back. Overall, we think this swing is likely to soothe your baby, no matter their swinging preferences. Read the full review.

The Guava Lotus Bassinet is effective and portable.

Best Bassinet
Guava Family Lotus Bassinet

There’s a lot to love about the Guava Family Lotus Bassinet. Not only is the Lotus great at being a bassinet, but it can transform into a pack and play as well. In addition, the Lotus has the best and most compact fold of any product we tested. It even folds up into a backpack, which is also included. While portability isn’t important to everyone (and not all bassinets we tested even had a way to fold up) the compact design is easy to move and great for traveling with your newborn or your toddler—or even just for setting up in the living room. It’s also quite convenient for when it’s not in use, as it makes storing it especially easy in even the smallest apartments. Read the full review.

Best Audio Baby Monitor
VTech Safe & Sound DM221

The VTech DM221 had by far the best combination of design, build and sound quality, features, and range. It excels as a traditional monitor, and easily covered over 1,000 square feet in our range tests, with no drop-offs anywhere. For extra features, the parent unit has a rechargeable battery, a helpful LCD display, and a belt clip, while the baby unit has a night light.
